VEEP HOSTING LTD is a website hosting company with dedicated servers and virtual cloud servers.
We were approached by this company in 2018 to help them generate more leads in their highly competitive industry. After our initial testing through the company’s historic data we learned that their target audience is not engaging well with their services as their conversion rate was not breaking even. Customers were opting for bigger names in the industry and Veep Hosting was paying the price for this.
In order for the company to be making a healthy profit they had to be be returning around 4x on their advertising spent and they were nowhere near.
First thing we have done is completely redesigned their website and made it mobile responsive so that no traffic is lost.
We used colors that their target audience would engage well with and used contrasting colors for call to action buttons whilst leaving only the key features that Veep Hosting provides better than their competition.

Finding the right audience
Create creative display content which might give us an edge in the industry
We started off by creating a few display ads with different taglines that each appeal to the ideal user and offering a special bonus to first time subscribers. Bear in mind that since the company wasn’t so popular this offer appealed to most of the customers that were being shown this ad.
We grew our audience to focus on broader age range and income levels. Although through the historic data we had an idea who our target audience was, we needed to test the waters of what the company could possibly be losing on.
We started to expand beyond the obvious keywords such as ‘web hosting’ and started to go for longer tail keywords which are usually cheaper and could also convert better when implemented correctly. Users who clicked on our ads, roamed our website but didn’t turn to customers were also added to a remarketing list where we could target them again with a different angle for a fraction of the initial price.
Display ads wasn’t a channel which Veep Hosting used before but after testing several angles and platforms we could see that Display ads was working the best for this niche.
